Publications of a scientist from the Institute of Computer Science, University of Opole, in a recognized scientific journal

The 24th IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM), the world’s most important conference on data mining, was held in the Emirates’ capital, Abu-Dhabi, at the ADNEC National Exhibition Center from 09-12-2024. It provides an international forum for the exchange of original research results, as well as the exchange and dissemination of innovative and practical solutions in the development of this scientific discipline.

The conference covers all aspects of data mining, including algorithms, software, systems and applications. On one of the panels of this conference, Ms. Jolanta Tańcula, PhD, from the Institute of Computer Science, University of Opole, presented two papers: “Formal Classifier of a Rhythmic Structure Model for Inference about Linguistic Text Properties” and ‘Heisenberg Algebra Implementation to AAG Algorithm for Secure Data Transfer in IoT Networks,’ co-authored by Ms. Jolanta Mizera-Pietraszko, a former employee of the Institute of Computer Science. Participation in such a prestigious Conference allowed Ms. Jolanta Tancula, PhD, to present the scope of her research and interests, which concerned language models and data transmission security in IoT.

Both papers, in March 2025, were included in the conference’s journal, for which Dr. Jolanta Tańcula received 200 points each, according to the ministerial scoring.

We sincerely congratulate Dr. Jolanta Tancula and wish her continued success!
