The Institute of Computer Science at the University of Opole offers excellent conditions for learning and research thanks to its modern equipment and specialized laboratories. Our laboratories are tailored to the needs of both students and researchers, providing access to the latest technologies in computer science. High-quality computer equipment and dedicated laboratory spaces support the development of knowledge, creativity and innovation in ongoing research projects.

Modern computer labs

The Institute of Computer Science has four state-of-the-art computer labs, which are equipped with advanced equipment tailored to meet teaching and research needs. Each of the labs has been designed to meet the specific requirements of various fields of computer science. As a result, students and employees are able to use the latest technologies, which supports the implementation of ambitious projects and high-level research.

Artificial Intelligence Laboratory

The Artificial Intelligence Lab is equipped with 16 computers with advanced specifications for AI-related projects and research. Each computer has an Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA RTX 4070 graphics card and 128GB of RAM. This allows users to perform complex calculations and experiments in the areas of machine learning, data processing and algorithm development.

Computer Graphic & Networking Labs

The institute also offers two graphics labs, equipped with a total of 32 computers. These computers are ideal for work related to computer graphics, design and video editing, with Intel Core i7 processors, NVIDIA RTX graphics cards and 32 GB of RAM. In addition, a network lab, equipped with 16 computers and advanced networking equipment, enables classes and research in computer networking. The equipment includes switches, Cisco routers, and Fortinet firewalls, allowing for top-level networking projects.
