Seminar of the Institute of Computer Science March 20, 2025

Dear All,

You are cordially invited to the seminar of the Institute of Computer Science, which will be held on March 20, 2025 at 10:15 am in room 110INF. The paper entitled. “Large Language Models for analyzing e-commerce Web server logs” will be presented by Dr. Eng. Grażyna Suchacka.

Abstract:

The rapid advancement of Large Language Models (LLMs) has opened new possibilities for analyzing system and application logs. The presentation deals with the applicability of a popular LLM, ChatGPT-4o, for Web server log analysis. It discusses a series of experiments performed on a real e-commerce server log, focusing on six key areas: (1) general statistics and automated reporting, (2) user session reconstruction and analysis, (3) error diagnosis and anomaly detection, (4) Web bot detection, (5) generating synthetic user sessions, and (6) analysis of e-customer activities. The performed study provides practical guidelines for integrating LLMs into e-commerce server log analysis, emphasizing their advantages, limitations, and potential business applications.
