The Cyber Security section addresses the topic of IT security with particular attention to security in computer networks including the Internet. As part of the circle’s activities, participants carry out real-world attacks on Laboratory infrastructure by investigating the vulnerabilities of systems to known and new attacks. The aim of the section is to introduce students to the topic of offensive security where they take on the role of attackers to search for security vulnerabilities and use them to carry out successful attacks. The research goals of the circle are to search for new vulnerabilities and attack vectors on information systems not yet described in the scientific literature.
Meeting dates are set with the members of the research circle in consultation with the instructor. In order to find out the date of the next meeting, please contact Marcin Szymanek, M.Sc., section leader.
